What a day... -_-

So, after having a lovely weekend at home in Ashford, I decided to make my way back up to Luton this afternoon, in the hope that I'd be back in time to catch the 3.10 showing of Despicable Me with Suzi Wilkin et al. BUT IT WAS NOT TO BE! The "amazing" Network Rail decided to delay my train back to St Pancras by half an hour, meaning that by the time I'd arrived in Luton, I'd have missed loads of the film. I was not best pleased... But then! :O A glimmer of hope! The delayed train was going fast, skipping out the other stations and heading straight to St Pancras. Could I just about make it in time? I checked the train times. There was a train leaving for Luton at 14.47, which arrived at 15.28. If I legged it, I could just make the film in time... Yay! :D

I sat on the rocketing train, surrounded by other impatient passengers such as myself. As the other stations shot by, the clock seemed to flick forward at a similar speed. As it approached 14.40, I had a horrible feeling that I was literally just going to miss the train to Luton. And I was right! :( the train arrived no more than two minutes late, causing my arrival in Luton to be delayed until almost 15.45. I was so annoyed! :( I'd missed my film, and spent 40 minutes in Ashford being poked in the arse by a freezing cold metal pole... 40 minutes more that I could have spend with my boyfriend! :( never mind.

On the upside, my babies were so pleased to see me - and they dug straight into the treat that I bought them! :P I have to admit, I felt incredibly guilty about leaving them behind on Thursday. I've become incredibly attached to them over the past 3 weeks! In some ways, I can't quite believe that I've only owned them for such a short amount of time...

I have a horrible feeling that I've got work due for Print Production tomorrow; yet, I haven't got any written down... >.< whoops! I guess I'll have to find out the hard way! :P

I love you, grammar geekazoids. <3

Ooh errr, double posting? I think so! ;)

So, did I tell you that we've already created nicknames for our lecturers?

Yes. It has happened... and it seems that every time, Deena is the only one who escapes the nicknaming process. Consider yourself lucky! :P So far we've had Professor Trelawney, Something Something Something Ironside, The Lobster and Jack Nicholson. Of course, I shouldn't name names, so I won't... Besides, I'm quite unsure of what some of their names are anyway! Whoops. :P

Anyway, back to the point. We, as humble journalists, have the delight of a three hour lecture on a Wednesday morning with the infamous Jack Nicholson. In this time, we have to sit in a massively crowded lecture hall to watch a documentary film and take notes on it. Why? Now, I'd love to be able to answer that question myself. It's like sitting in a cinema and scribbling down the film plot whilst perching on the edge of seats that are about 10 times more uncomfortable than the ones you would find in a typical screen at your local Cineworld. Yes, they really are that horrible! So, as you can imagine, numb bum syndrome takes hold after about 20 minutes of sitting on these beauties.

Right at this second, I am wrapped up comfortably in my brown animal print duvet, and I know that I will NOT want to move when I wake up in the morning... >.< Okay, so this lecture doesn't start until 10, so I get a little bit of a lay-in, I guess!

Oooh, and another rant. The Lobster put us through an antagonising presentation about quotations in our Feature Writing lecture today... Which he had already presented to us at the beginning of this year! But, here's the worst part... IT STILL CONTAINED THE SAME GRAMMATICAL ERRORS THAT IT DID LAST TIME HE PRESENTED IT! I shot him down in a rather embarrassing way last time, especially because of his poor ellipsis use. That man CANNOT use an ellipsis properly! He either uses two dots or more than four. How hard is it to just use THREE and leave it at that?! Argh! You know what really grinds my gears? THE LOBSTER! >:(

...Phew. I needed to get that out. It's been at the back of my mind all day. I really cannot stress my dislike for him enough!

Good night, chumps. :)

Indestructible...

"And I never was smart with love,
I let the bad ones in and the good ones go,
But; I'm gonna love you like I've never been hurt before -
I'm gonna love you like I'm indestructible.
Your love is ultimate,
Not again, it's taking over!
This is hardcore,
And I'm indestructible."

That's about all I've got to say today. My mind is in La-la-land! :)

Stockholm Syndrome and Misery...

Yep, the title may seem random today, yet it was the only thing that popped into my head... as it's a line from a gorgeous song by Robyn named "Love Kills". So abrupt, yet true! :)

My robotic voice seems ot have finally given up the ghost. Woop! :D My throat is still quite sore, but I feel fine now apart from that! After another day spent at uni, I'm now back home with very little to do. Although, I guess a night off to relax wouldn't go amiss! I had quite a busy weekend at work and had a great evening in on Friday with Suzi and Paul from work - which consisted of eating Indian food, playing Left for Dead 2 and Rock Band... Which is AMAZING! :D I used to absolutely suck at playing the guitar, but I'm starting to get better... As long as there are no more than 2 notes to play at one time, of course! ;)

I might drop by again later on. It all depends on how bored I become over the course of my evening! ;)

Until then, minions! :D

OH MY GOD.

I've just noticed a typo in an old post of mine.

Excuse me, minions.

*holds gun to head*

Epic Fail!

MY VOICE IS GONE! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! :(

On a lighter note though, I am feeling much better now! I just don't sound an awful lot like it, however... :P Now, if I may continue with the negatives, or rather, funnier part of today, I completely and utterly embarrassed myself at work today. Unintentionally, I called one of the managers unattractive... :P Here's how it happened:

1. So, we have these new jumpers at work, and for some reason the managers have taken a liking to them over their suit jackets. Anyway...
2. One of the managers on duty, Aaron, came over to speak to my female colleague and I. She commented on how she liked the new jumpers, and I said that I wasn't overly keen... After all, I have a thing for men in suits! ;)
3. Aaron took that in the wrong way, and started to smile and laugh. In an attempt to cover my tracks, I foolishly dug myself into an even deeper hole by saying:

"Oh no, I didn't necessarily mean that I find any of the male managers here attractive!"

Ouch. That must have hurt. Seriously, you have NO idea how bad I felt after... Yet at the same time, it was hilarious! :P To make matters worse, he then decided to tell Adam, the other manager on duty. I honestly felt like going to hide behind a rock, and by the time my shift ended, I probably resembled nothing less than a beetroot. Ahem... :P

I don't think you need any further explanation, do you? No.

Good night grammar geeks! :D

ARGH!

Sooo, it was my first day back at university today... AND I WOKE UP FEELING INCREDIBLY ILL! :( nevertheless, I struggled through and still enjoyed my day... Ha! Take that, you weird cold thing! I WILL have victory! :D

I've spent my evening creating a new background for this blog. I hope you all noticed? ;) I simply LOVE playing around with Photoshop! It puts me in a good mood once I've got the end product. For example, when the lovely Rosie stayed at my place last week, we spent half of our night editing photos of James. Now he has his face plastered onto a picture of Harry Potter and we warped his face so it looked like Mario! :P in a seperate picture, of course; a Harry-Mario-Potter-James thing would look very scary indeed! ;)

Anyway, we now have to keep a weekly blog for one of our seminars. I'll probably just use this account, so don't be surprised if you see lots of posts which don't make a lot of sense... Haha! :P

In other news, I'm really into Robyn at the moment. She has the voice of a beautiful flower in my opinion! She's a very talented lady indeed! :) I'm actually listening to her as I'm writing this!

Enjoy my updates, my darling freaks! ;)
